AC Repair in Green Valley

South on I-19, not a south-side Tucson neighborhood. A lot of the cooling equipment is a single cabinet on the ground beside a one-story house.

Green Valley cooling is a ground-level story more often than an attic story. Many houses are single-story block or stucco. The air conditioner may be a package unit sitting on a pad beside the house, with both ducts going into that one cabinet, or it may be a split system with a closet unit. People are home during the day often enough that a system which short-cycles at 10 in the morning gets reported while it is happening, not reconstructed at dinner. That is useful. “It ran for three minutes and stopped, and I was in the kitchen” is a better note than “it seemed off when I got home.”

The ZIPs are 85614 and 85622. Put the one on your mail on the form. This is not a south Tucson neighborhood, and it is not Sahuarita. Sahuarita production houses, often split heat pumps in 85629, are Sahuarita AC repair. Quail Creek and the edge between the two towns confuse the name. The ZIP settles it. The broader Green Valley writeup, including winter heat, is Green Valley HVAC. What a package cabinet is, including manufactured homes and flat roofs elsewhere, is package unit AC.

Filters on a package unit hide behind a panel on the box. If you have not found a hallway slot, say that instead of assuming there is no filter. Condensate shows up at the cabinet or a nearby outlet, not as an attic stain, unless you are in one of the less common two-story plans. Dust still packs coils. A cooling-only complaint in July is this page. A cabinet that will not heat on a January morning is Green Valley heating, because on a package unit the same box often does both, and the failure mode is not “the upstairs.”

Citywide symptom and price context, including HomeAdvisor’s AC repair table updated June 17, 2026, stays on AC repair. We are not reprinting those dollars as a Green Valley rate. TEP rebates, if the meter is actually Tucson Electric Power, are cited only from tep.com on TEP rebates. An edge parcel can be Trico. Read the bill before anyone counts a rebate. We are not on TEP’s participating-contractor finder.

Sabino Creek does not service cabinets. A request from 85614 or 85622 may be shared with an independent contractor. Diagnosis and warranty belong to them. Confirm a license at roc.az.gov.

Choose AC not cooling. Say package or split, whether you are in the house during the day, and the ZIP. The form does not book a repair visit.

Green Valley cooling questions

Package cabinets, ZIPs, and how this differs from Sahuarita.

Is Green Valley part of south Tucson?

No. It is a community in the Santa Cruz Valley along I-19, about a half hour south of the city. ZIPs 85614 and 85622 are the ones we ask for. Sahuarita, closer to Tucson, is mostly 85629 and has its own pages.

What is different about repairing a package unit?

Supply and return both connect to one cabinet, often on the ground. The filter may be on that box, not in a hallway. Say so. There is no promise of a crane or a same-visit replacement.

We are only here for the winter. Should we still test cooling?

If you will be in the house when it is hot, yes. Winter visitors sometimes leave a stat in Heat and discover cooling in April. Heating has its own Green Valley page.

Are you the company that fixes it?

No. We are a referral service. We do not perform the work. An independent contractor who accepts a shared request would diagnose the cabinet.
