Catalina Foothills is not a city and it is not the town of Catalina on Oracle Road. It is unincorporated county north of Tucson, climbing from River Road toward Skyline, Sunrise, and Ventana. Houses are often custom or semi-custom, sometimes with two systems, sometimes with a long return that serves a wing you cannot see from the front door. When cooling fails here, the useful report is which part of the house gave up. A west-facing glass wall can heat one room all afternoon while the other system, on the east wing, is still fine. That is not the same job as a single condenser behind a Marana production home.
Most of these streets are 85718 or 85750. Use the number on the house. If the ZIP is 85749, you are likely in the Tanque Verde or Sabino set, and Tanque Verde is the closer overview. Outdoor units end up in decomposed granite, against a courtyard wall, or behind a screen that was drawn for the view. Airflow around that coil is condenser clearance. We will not tell an association what it must allow. We will ask you to say if a gate, a boulder, or a screen is part of the equipment yard, because that changes the visit a contractor plans. Long duct runs lose cooling before they reach the far bedroom. Attic heat on those runs is ducts and attic heat. If the whole house runs and still climbs, the symptom page is AC that can’t keep up, and citywide repair context is AC repair.
Ice, water through a ceiling, or a system that quit after a dust storm should be named as those symptoms. They are not “foothills problems” exclusively, but an attic air handler over a large footprint makes a pan overflow expensive. Leave panels on. Do not hose the fins.
