Tucson systems get blamed for a thermostat that was left in Heat through April, or in Cool through the first cold night, or in Emergency because someone was trying to force heat. Read the display before you assume the furnace or the compressor failed. If the display is right and the equipment does not answer, then it is a repair.
Heat pumps are the mode that gets misread. Emergency Heat on many thermostats locks out the compressor. Auxiliary heat is supposed to help on colder mornings, not carry a 60-degree Tucson evening alone. That distinction is also on heat pump repair.
